Rehoboth was once again blessed by the generosity of two stores in the Edmonton and Calgary regions. Park Lighting & Furniture and Cartwright Lighting & Furniture held “Charity Day” on February 20, in which all sale proceeds were donated to Rehoboth. This year, more than $52,000 was raised in support of new technology for connecting clients with their families and friends as well as to support start up costs for a new social enterprise project in the Edmonton area.
Although this year’s Charity Day looked a lot different, with masks, store capacity limits, line ups and the inability to have clients and Shine FM on site, the success remained heartwarming and overwhelming! Thank you to all who shopped and supported Rehoboth through these incredible stores. And thank you, to Park and Cartwright for another exceptional Charity Day!

Thank YOU for your generosity, time and support of Rehoboth. Because of you, Rehoboth’s Membership campaign was vastly successful raising more than $290,000 and increasing membership to almost 4,000! God does provide and you have made Him glad. You are a blessing and Rehoboth thanks Him for placing us in your heart. And a very special thank you to each and every one of our Canvassers - without you, this campaign would not have been the success it was!

Please join us in celebrating our CET Accreditation Level 2! This mean Rehoboth exceeds the standards of supporting people with disabilities; 100% compliance across all five regions! Rehoboth has outstanding staff who go above and beyond every day and this certification is evident of that. Find out more about ACDS and CET Accreditation here: https://acds.ca/accreditation/index.html Some of the commendations Rehoboth received include: “Rehoboth is commended for providing consistent supports across the five regions. Staff and individuals alike report the same information, the same access to supports, and the same processes.” “Rehoboth is commended for keeping guardians involved and informed, and for providing supports that, according to conversations, are above and beyond in identifying the needs and supports required for the individuals.” “Rehoboth is commended for staff’s knowledge of the process for handling unanticipated situations or behaviours of concern. They are all able to describe in great detail and with consistency between them what is considered an unanticipated situation or behaviour, how to respond to specific types of behaviours or situations, how to report incidents, and when a situation would no longer be considered unanticipated. They also say that Rehoboth’s support to them is prompt if/or whenever a significant unanticipated incident occurs.”

“Dear Lord, I pray that this Christmas is celebrated with a heart filled with peace and love. Please take away all the bad feelings and emotions in people and show them what Christmas is all about. I also pray for the people who are having a hard time this Christmas. Please hug them and let them feel Your peace and love. Amen.”
