In late July,, the beautiful Bear Lake Bible Camp in Sexsmith, Alberta hosted this year’s much-anticipated Joy Camp. The event brought together individuals, families, staff, and volunteers, all united in supporting the growth and joy of persons with mental challenges.
Participants enjoyed a full lineup of activities, including arts and crafts, puzzles, board games, target challenges, and water balloon fun. A highlight of the camp was the thrilling giant swing, where clients and staff soared through the air to the cheers of friends.
At the heart of the camp were twice-daily chapel gatherings, filled with worship, heartfelt singing, and uplifting messages. These sacred moments reminded everyone of God’s joy and presence.
As the camp came to a close, participants left with full hearts, lasting memories, and eager anticipation for Joy Camp 2026.
