The Coordinator is responsible for the overall support and supervision of all residential and vocational programs as well as the overall care and quality services provided for all the clients in the programs. 100% of the job responsibility is administrative. This position works independently, receiving minimal supervision and guidance. This is a leadership position that manages the development and delivery of quality services for individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with the organizations philosophies, policies and procedures.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications (Conditions of Employment):
- Equivalent of High School education from a recognized institution
- Proficient command/comprehension of the English language
- Police information Check that does not disqualify you from employment
- Emergency First Aid and CPR
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of basic office applications and data bases
- Foundations Certificate
- Open Futures Learning courses
- Legal Canadian driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work purposes/two - million-dollar liability
Additional Qualifications (Requirements of Employment):
- Community Disability Studies Diploma or related Human Services Diploma
- Medication Administration
- Client Rights
- Abuse Prevention & Response Protocol
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
- Supervisory Skills Training
Physical Demands:
- Physical control dynamics trained through NVCI
- Driving a personal vehicle
- Sitting for extended periods
- Repetitive movements for word processing
Years of Experience:
- Greater than two years up to five years of progressive, relevant experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
Interpersonal:
- Demonstrated progressive managerial experience
- Related skills in communication, organizational, interpersonal, budgeting and planning skills
Hours of Work:
- Flexible, may include evenings and weekends with the expectation that the Coordinator work in conjunction with the client and their support network

Salary:
Dependent on relevant education and/or experience; wage range: $31.39-$36.73 / hour
Stony Plain Openings:
#20-341- 40 hours per week / Monday to Friday/ 0800-1600 (Posting Closes: September 16, 2023 at 1600)
